basically I think this guy was saying that sin was the cause for the huge tidal wave that struck..... am I right or am I wrong

sin blah blah blah sin. And I just think that, in my analysis—and I can‘t speak for everybody, blah blah blah blah sin—the signature of New Orleans is the French Quarter, Bourbon Street. It is known for sin.

I thought people that held a position of power within the united states had to remain quiet about there personal religious belief as it was a secular country where religion and government were firmly seperated....... guess not.

Not even nearly. You'll find it more in the Uk and Canada, but even there it crops up from time to time :)

As for America, didn't Bush state that he was elected because it was what God wanted?

tony blair won't talk about his own personal religious beliefs because alistair campbell told him not to because it'll make him sound silly to a brit audience. that kind of stuff doesn't play well here

What's the situation with your chav population and access to abortion clinics? Are they well served?

Abortion clinics dont exist as such because we have the NHS where all treatment of any kind (prescriptions, operation of any nature including plastic surgery etc) is free with no deductible and no cost at the beggining middle or end.

So no not many people have abortions, the pill, condoms etc are free as well as if a woman does become pregnant and cant support herself the government povide housing and benefits equiting to around 15,000 to 20,000 a year or around $35,000 (roughly)

This is why I ask. Free abortions sound like a good alternative to government hand outs for life. I don't expect chavettes to be encouraged to abort, but I suppose the option is on the table.

government handouts? its called a social system where the strong take care of the weak. If a Chavette gets pregnant and cant support herself I'm willing to pay more tax to make sure that kid gets fed, housed and educated.

Handouts arent bad things

Chavs have always been there, just now though they wear burberry and pretend to be Wigga's.

Its been the same for decades this isnt a new thing but the younger generation seem to think they are the only ones that have experienced this type of thing or this is brand new.

I'm not making a political argument against such hand outs (though I could I suppose), I'm saying that free and easy access to abortions would ease the strain on such a system. If Chavettes choose to abort pregnancies more often when they can't afford to raise their potential offspring, there will be less children for the government to support. I'm not even suggesting coercion.

Regardless, I was just curious. You've answered my questions.

not saying that you are man, just the point that extermination of life due to social convience is not what the UK sociall system is about. Its about helping those that cant help themself regardless of chav/whatever :)

Tell you its a damn good thing, I've seen it work and I've seen it fail but its better to have it than not cause I've seen that in action too and its by far the more detrimental to society of the two :)
