I was just trying to grab the shader manual from

http://shaderlab.com

It just goes to a generic Telefragged page, root addy goes to LinuxGames. Is SL dead now?

there's an older copy here:

ydnar's aware of the problem, just hope it gets fixed.

Looks like the Shaderlab DNS has expired and was snatched up by LinuxGames. ydnar temporarily came back from game developer hibernation and is trying to get it back.

From SplashDamage forums:
I've been, erm, busy. In no particular order:

- I bought a house with my girlfriend
- We got a dog
- I have yet to set up my PC (or get internet hooked up) at the new house
- Work is lovely, just got promoted to management

In my perfect world I would have lots of free time and could spend some of it coding on Q3Map2 or other hacks. I'll look into what happened with the Shaderlab DNS and see if we can't get it squared away.

Thanks for noticing...

I keep that site going mainly for storing screenshots and other miscellaneous files.

At least temporarily, I've uploaded a newer version for you to look at (not the latest version, but relatively new):

Latest stable release of Q3Map2 (2.5.16):

I absolutely second that!

I don't want to bug Obsidian with many questions as I have in the past. I would much rather just reference the shader manual.(Thanks to Obsidian and Ydnar!)

I would still be some noob with over 30 out of my 56 maps that would be lame borring maps without what I have learned from that manual.

Please sticky this one.

Also if a new official site is put back up please let us know here in this thread or in a new sticky announcment.

For as much as I have used that manual if there is anything I can do to help get it back please feel free to let me know.

Thanks!

From the looks of it, this wont need stickied, since we haven't gotten a whole lot of posts to push it off the front page.
The other reason, is we are at our "allowed" stickies.

Agreed, I don't see the need. ydnar's aware of the situation and will hopefully get it fixed.

He is sneaking around forum damage, too.
So it might be impossible for us to exclude him.
Anyway your sig is opening a door to him.

I am having trouble unzipping the q3map2 file from that quakeroats site. I can save the zip file no problem, but when I use winRAR to extract, it gives me an error "(path of the file): unexpected end of archive". Idk if this is something to do with the zip file or if it's something goofy with my winRAR, but I would like to know if there is any other way to get the q3map2 file.

Thanks for your time.

Back up again - temperamental now, aren't we?

It seems to be an older archive you have uploaded. I trust that you have a newer version stored somewhere in your old box? If not, I may have some other files cached here if I can locate them.

The main page is an archive of something ydnar was working on. For q3map2 stuff, go here:
