I made a few German cracks that Splish didn't like.

I think Germany is still gun-shy from WWII and while I personally don't claim to know whether going to Iraq was the right thing for my country to do, I do think that Germans have a huge bias which prevents them from even considering that sometimes war is the right thing to do. It's illustrated in that quote "We had our Hitler, now you have yours."

Just my thoughts.

edit: Just in case it was unclear, I think that Bush is a twat for many other reasons. Iraq is just an issue I'm not totally decided on.

did u see that bush backed out of the town hall meeting in germany? hes scared of real question when he doesn't have karl rove talking to him in his ear piece...

That argument might be a little more persuasive if Bush hadn't actually started an illegal war based on fake "evidence" of a non-existent threat...

The Germans, French and Russians were right about Iraq.
The UK and US were wrong and had to revise there reasons for invading.

Its hilarious watching US news this week on the Bush trip. They make it out that France and Germany are to blame and its the US forgiving them, when its the opposite way round in reality.
And none are mentioning that NATO, the US's only way out of Iraq, is going to be ineffective in Iraq as Germany and France announced wanting revising it.

France, Germany and probably Russia after today owned Bush this week.

The NATO has agreed to train 1.000 Iraqi security troops. To put this in perspective, the US aims to train 200.000 more by the end of October - which means the NATO will be responsible for a staggering 0,5% of the total, fucking lol.

I merely hope, Old Europe will stay consistent...
