I just went to my local 24 hour Tesco petrol station, ( for non UK'ers, tesco is a huge supermarket chain, and they also have petrol outlets), and got fuel and tobacco. So I filled up, then went to the kiosk, asked for some tobacco, and then asked the guy for a petrol receipt as well. He said he can't give me a petrol receipt, and he only gave me a receipt for the tobacco. I said to him "wtf are you talking about? I always get petrol receipts. Just give me a petrol receipt". He said "it's too late, you should have asked before" or something to that effect. I said to him " well I'll make a complaint because this is fucking ridiculous".

I mean seriously, I've never heard anything like it. How can he not give me a receipt , surely the info of the transaction must still be in the till as he just took the money. :icon27: And he didn't even offer to write out a receipt by hand.

Also, why don't petrol stations automatically give receipts? I never have to ask for one when I buy food, clothes, or anything.
