What day..... 3dfx only made decent cards at the VERY beggining IE when they were practically the only company that made accelerator cards.

Power VR PCX2 was the shit in comparison to any shitty voodoo 2 chipset you could care to mention and dont even get me started on that heap of shit voodoo 3.... Then we have the travesity of voodoo 4 / 5/5500/6000........ With.... "advanced Buffer Effects" that were of NO USE whats so ever when polygon throughput was practically nil......

Voodoo..... dont make me laugh.

owned
meh thats power VR PCX1 chipset... that thing sucked more than the original voodoo (which I bought by the way 4 meg version, couldnt afford the UBER 6meg at the time)

PCX2 was a hell of a lot better and then we had the Kyro and Kyro II chipset which for the money was awesome. I think they cost 79.99 pounds and kept up wioth most things at 800x600

*goes to check

Conclusion

We are all extremely lucky that Kyro II based products will not only be available, but also easy to get by the end of March or the beginning of April. The performance of the Kyro II based 3D Prophet 4500 is nothing short of stunning given its price: a mere $149.99.
