If only the response time was a little better to make it useful for gaming, I'd buy that fucko right now.

I'd love a widescreen flat-panel, but if I can't use it for my games it's hard to justify it to myself.

No, I've got an old 19" CRT.

I got me a widescreen CRT about a month ago. Goes up to 2304X1440 @85htz but I only use 1920x1200. The actual screen is wider than my keyboard.

Only bummer is the the weight and size, but I'm not complaining since it's the best picture on a monitor I have ever seen.

I'm going to have to ship the 19" back as soon as I get it, but thanks to Dell's awesome customer service, I won't pay a dime for that.

You're not worried about playing BF2 on the LCD?

16 ms response time?

A decent 16ms LCD is perfectly fine. Some 25ms ones don't have ghosting. You really can not rely on that. Everyone measures it differently.

Go only one what people say about the monitor. Gramps has the 24" Dell (16ms) and he plays all his games on it. Ask him what he thinks of it. Oh wait, he already said in this thread that it "rocks!"

P.S. The 8 or 12ms ones aren't necessarily any less prone to ghosting than these. And AFAIK the 2001FP, 2005FPW, and 2405FPW are all good gaming LCDs.

Nah, as I said in the other thread, my IT nerd has the same 19" LCD, and he ran the BF2 demo with no ghosting at all.

More than likely you'll get a better deal going through dell home or small business.
