help please! ( making a server with arouter)

i have a router my dad says its possible to host a surver but i need to know the ports and a bounch of other thigns to forword to my pc ( leaving it unportected to the world lol) anyone ever dont this/ know how to please or cna tell me some thigns i need to know about the game and hosting survers ive had it since i was 12 and ive never been able to host a server lol imn 17 now >.< thgats a long time dont ya think

thats all thats alli need? ( my dad asking) hes a programmer hes all techinical u kidding i had to remmeber 27960 udp *repeats it tom yself 6 times as i run down the stairs and give it to my dad* lol
