What is the real release date for Quake 4 ?

Hi all new to the forums
I was a hardcore Quake 3 Arena player back in the day and i'm totally hanging out for Quake 4, yet I can't seem to find any reliable release dates.
Can anyone shed some light?

For some reason, BestBuy said it wont be in the store until the 20th. Don't know if I believe that.
