PING

In the all-seeing-eye, most of the servers[Quake3] that used to be around the 40-80 Ping range, now always seem to be 200+.

Is this just me, my computer, or is something screwy?

It could be a large number of things. How long has it been like this?

In the short term, ISPs mess with their network and this can cause slow routing. Used to happen a lot 5+ years ago but not so much now...

Then there's a chance that there's something wrong with your network card, cable, modem or line.

You could have something on your PC sending/receiving data and flooding the line. This would usually manifest as everything being slower, however. Check your software firewall's traffic page to see what's using your connection.

Simple test: what's the average response time you get when you ping the server from the command line?

I server on the all seeing eye shows a ping of 163.

When I "pinged it" from command promt, it showed average of 61ms

why don't you try the wizard network settings again.
