knackard GPU?

Hello all, I have a radeon all in wonder 8500 which has been rather unstable over these past few months. It will randomly do a gpu reset become unable to render anything under hardware rendering and then switch to software rendering and then will work fine. All the writing will be garbled until is goes to software rendering, no artifacting or anything. Before it used to do it daily, but I took the card out and cleaned the fan and now it hardly does it, maybe once in two weeks. But I feel this is purely coincidental because of no artifacting and the pure randomness of the resets.

What do you think could be causing this problem? I'm using cat 5.10's.

You sure your case isn't running too hot? What else is in there, and what kind of fans?

Case temp is 24 deg C. All other temps are normal. No case fans. Stock GPU Cooler.

could be your mobo ?

I had something similar with a mobo causing it. I would replace the card and it would be fine for a couple of weeks, maybe sometimes months then it caused the graphics card to fail. I would replace the graphics card and it would be fine for a couple of months then failure again. Turned out to be a knackered voltage regulator on the mobo.
