That will be amazing if/when it comes to fruition. o'dium will get more kudos than he can handle from the Q4 community. However, no doubt there's already dozens of mappers already working on their version of it.

But you can trust o'dium on releasing a high quality version which no doubt will be tested quite a few times before final release unlike some mappers who just want to churn it out quick and get some not really deserving creds.

Thing is, the map in q3 that was based off the edge wasn't as popular( by comparison to dm6) as it might have been in Q2. I never played Q2 online, only the sp and I remember nothing about the maps anyway . DM6 was a new map ( wasn't it?), and became the main map that everyone loved in Q3. Surely a new map then might spring up in Q4 that will become the new dm6 in terms of popularity, rather than us holding on to it?

dm6 is certainly over-played. Still i wouldn't want to miss the chance to play it in Q4 i guess. It would be nicer to have a 'new' dm6 (different map that will be just as popular), but i somehow i doubt that it is among the current stock maps...

Yeah having the map 100% identical would kinda suck. I like what they did with the edge, far better then the poor doom3 remake. But I haven't played it.

they remade it for doom 3 already so whats the difference for Quake 4
