Someone help me please!

I have no idea why this is coming up and a google search tells me nothing.

I'll be cruising right along, enjoying the heck out of Q4, but every few minutes I get the following message scrolling across my console screen and it freezes me and screws everything up for about 3-5 seconds while it's doing it. It's driving me insane!

The error message is:

"WARNING: ProcessUnreliableMessage: No Local Entity 0x0 For Event 5"

Anyone have a clue what this might be about? I've tried re-installing the game from scratch and still have the same problem.

A few details about my PC:

AMD Athlon64 3200+
Radeon X800XL
1 gig RAM

NOTHING overclocked at all and the XP install is 100% clean as I did a fresh install JUST for Q4.

I DO run a wireless router connection but this has never been a problem before on other games that I've noticed and I've got my PC on the DMZ.

Any ideas at all? I'm running out of ideas here.

What an odd error, I can't find anything even remotely close or related. Perhaps try Activision email support?

My guess is that it's having a problem finding a entity for an event named 5. No idea if that makes sense, trying to interpert the error.

a bad guess

the event mentioned cannot communicate with your computer.
could be simply you shooting a light and the server cannot tell you the light is out.

i'm assuming you are the server as "localhost"

a bad guess

It happens on all the Multiplayer games I've tried so far.

could be a connection tweak issue where you are limiting the amount of info you can send and receive.

disable any firewall as a test and unneeded background apps
i don't have the game yet :(

Just multiplayer or single player too?

I DO believe it's a connection issue of some sort because it doesn't happen if I'm not online, but like I said, I have no problems in other games including Doom 3. I think it MIGHT have something to do with the wireless connection. Anyone else running with a wireless router with any problems?

I've tried killing all apps and firewalls, still the same problem. Happens on PB and non PB servers also.

Here's a quick screenshot just so you guys have an idea of what I'm talking about. This scrolls about 1.5 pages worth in the middle of a game which practically locks me up:

Can you try going wired for a short time?

I'm sorry I can't give a direct answer, am just trying to narrow things down.

Can't right now but that's on my list of things to try tomorrow.

Mine does it too, but it doesn't freeze me or anything. I'm quite wired so I doubt that has anything to do with it.

It is indeed. Happens when you receive an outdated snapshot from the server IIRC. What's your ping, do you get peaks occasionally and does it happen on all servers?

Ahhh... Maybe it has nothing to do with those warnings then. Maybe it's just my wireless conenction getting flaky. I'll find out tonight when I try wired.
