Quake3World

I have two major gripes:

• the lack of bots for MP maps
• the lack of female PMs for MP

I *always* play with a female avatar, and I like to get to know maps with bots first. WTF wouldn't they put these things in?

You'll also notice that there's only 1 female strogg and all the female humans are busy flying spacecraft.

They usually get the medic role

I can see why Rhino Squad might not have chicks - they're the hardarse bastards of the corps, and the whole corps is hardarse as hell, but come on, Q2 had some brilliant chicks, and they could have slipped a few into the MP stable for those of us who use female PMs.

I guess I'm going to have to make my own damned PPM :icon34:

Yeah I think her oint is sort of the same as mine

They said this was going to be the "experience of multiplay"
But like CHiQ said the Mp bot support , none!!! that sucks
Same as for the models very crapy choice they give us like doom III MP

Sure its just a game and it really shouldnt matter if your playing as a guy or a girl or whatever ,
But its the sick and twisted aspect I miss in Q4 so far the uniqueness in models like quake 3 and the crazy music and all the retarded shit the bots used to do need to be in this game lol.
I really hope they add some official goodie's in the time to come.

I'd hardly call the Quake 2 female PM's "chicks". They were more like testosterone injected Helga bodybuilder types

I usually played Q3 with Slash or Major model.

the main problem about Q4 marine models is that they are too generic,
please bring back all the crazy Q3 models :icon31:

I don't think it's because I'm female - a lot of guy gamers play with female PMs - Crash, Slash, Hunter, Major, and whatever that glam chick in the shades was called (I'll call her Doris) were used by lots of guys. I just happen to be one of those gamers who likes using female avatars in games.

They don't have to be babes either. They *should* be IMO, but they don't have to be.

The thing with bots is they're a great warm-up for situations such as now, when my skills are nil, all my abilities from Q3 are gone, and I would like to build up some skills (such as not missing ledges when I make daring and graceful leaps) and comfort (such as not getting stuck in corners because my sensitivity *still* isn't right). They're also a blast when the intardweb is down and there's nothing else to do. Lastly, they're great for games artists, like me, when they want to get good shots of their latest piece of work.

Both these shortfalls are probably more important to me than most, so I don't expect anyone to fix them in a hurry, or at all, but they piss me off - this game is *so* close to being exactly what I wanted it to be :icon27:

Just hop on a server and learn the maps that way, after a couple of hours last night i've already sussed my way around most of the FFA maps and a couple of CTF, it was damn fun too!

Chiq... if you really want a fish-in-a-barrel to practice on, fire up a net server and keep an eye on it for 10 mins. Games are building up real quick now and full of nubbers

If you make a chic model please let it have lots of lovely cleavage kthx.

Without there being any female models, and based on what you have to do to get D3 custom models working.... it'll be a while before there's any great number of female characters for skinners such as yourself to let loose on.
