4 Question to improve the game ???

1.- Is there a way to start the game without the DVD , it piss me off that i have to let the DVD all the time i play.
By the way, i paid for the game, don't worry...
2.- forceEnemyModel, and better skin...we don't see much with skin that are almost the same color has the background... :icon13:
3.- What are the best internet setting ?
Is there setting like;
-snaps :icon10: ???
-maxpackets :icon10: ???
-rate :icon10: seta net_clientMaxRate
4.- Is there some kind of script that work for weapon like we use to have on Q3, exemple;
seta wpn7 "weapon 7;sensitivity 3.8;cg_drawcrosshair 5;cg_crosshairSize 48"

No-DVD .exes exist, but you cannot play multiplayer with them. 
I don't think that we're allowed to say even that much.

Hopefully Raven will eventually not require the CD like id did for Quake 3.

Different year, same old complaints. I saw the same complaints when Q3 was released. If you give the game and the community time to season the experience will get better. Better maps, more flexibility in functionality (like multi-attribute weapon binds) and other issues. With most software, there is normally a patch in the works before the final release of a product anyway. I'm sure all of these issues will be addressed in a point release or patch or mod somehow. Relax.

Regarding #2, I've asked that question at least twice here and no one has yet to give an answer, which suggests to me that it's not possible at this time. It's a little frustrating to me - especially when I play CTF. Unless a player has an invisibility power-up, I don’t think limited visibility should be part of the experience.
Regarding #4, it doesn't appear possible to do scripts like that at this time if any of the commands is preceded with an underscore '_' character. And, the binds for weapons are preceded by and underscore as in _impulse8 for example.

Gimme a few mins dan, I'm uploading it for you. Couldn't find any servers for it to work on though plus it kept reloading the game over and over.
Btw, I got kicked from a pb server just now ( an empty server ) for not enough packets.

Unfortunately, a mod will not help you see models on a vanilla Quake 4 server.

people complaining about models blending into the background need to either up their gamma or get their eyes checked.
maybe all that playing q3 with brightskins desensitized your eyes?
