I can't remember from 4 years ago exactly how to do this.

rcon map mapname

should work right? I tried setting the password first with

rconpassword mypass

etc but no love. Anyone know what to do with this?

after you change the map you have to rcon nextmap

Yeah. If you don't I think the map will change after your current game.

hmm so I still can't make this work

rcon map mapname says unknown command

rcon nextmap works, but it just chooses whatever map is in the mapcycle.
