Your preffered FOV? and weapon model...

Just wondering ..what FOV do you guyes use , and do you hide you r weapon model or not?
/...
Personnaly i use FOV of 100-105, and hide wapon, but its had to aim with shotgun for me ..then
I a noob too :P

I find it too hard to know which weapon I'm holding with weapon model off. It sucks that they put the hud to the left and not centered. So I leave weapon on and have about 100 fov.

fov 120
draw gun
the only thing about fov 120 is that railing is a bitch :\
but its perfect for my sense of my surroundings in game :icon32:

Are you sure about fov 120? It seems like it is capped to 110.

Is there a different hud you are talking about? The weapon icons seems to be in the middle for me (it comes up when you pick up a weapon).

when I type g_fov in the console and press "enter: it tells me "g_fov is set to: "120"
I paly Q3 at 120 also and Q4 looks basically the same fov-wise I mean

Sorry I meant it's to the left not the right, take a look at this.
Maybe there is a command to center?

Try fov 120 and then go 110 you'll see it wont change, you can set it at 150 if u want but it'll still be 110 I think.

shotgun and rail are my fav's... rail is bloody awsome looking model and shotty is mean as hell.

Good grief, why cap the fov so low? So many of us have been playing with 120 for years! We had to put up with this restriction shit in the name of art with DOOM 3. Should not be that way with Quake.

Word, I used 115-120 in quake3. I feel like quake4 extrudes it a little more, even on 110, more of a fisheye feel.

I hadn't bothered to change it, was doing fine with 90+gun. Just switched to 120+gun.

I always played with 110 in Q3, I'm glad they didn't cap it lower than that.
