Anyone wanna edit Q4dm1 (fragging yard) a tad and compile it?
Add mega where Quad is, make it selectable in Tourney, name it pro-q4dm1 and upload it on a map site.. or send it to me.
Anyone?

extrated the map and opened it in the editor.. how do i look/move around?
Can i just mark the Quad damage and pick edit and replace it with any other item?
When im done.. what do i do then?
Help.

just select it and delete. Then add the megahealth in the same spot and recompile?

I cant select it survivor.
How come i am breaking rules?
Is it because im editing their map?
I own the game.. but i cant edit a map?
Wouldent that fall under the same category as editing skins with different colors?
I cant see how that is braking EULA's...

The map is their work, same way that you may use the q3 engine source code but none of the assets. You are breaking the eula since it isn't your own work you're editing.

Might be my ignorance or lack of laws in this area.. but how is that different from editing a player model with a differant color/skin and release it for people to download...its still the developers model.

your axing a noobie at doom3/q4 mapping
so this info may be bogus
open map in the editor then choose bsp.
as far as releasing your map i'd say no one will care as long as it's a few peeps only and has a huge disclaimer.

The Q3 EULA allows you to modify and redistribute assets as long as you A) don't make a profit off it, and B) use them for the same game. I suspect the Q4 EULA to be quite similar (though I can't vouch for it, not having read it yet).

To make it available in the Tourney mode, you need to edit .def file with the map's name and set "Tourney" to "1".
