Rail Colors

Is there any way to change the rail color to a custom color such as Black?

Well, there are several colors you can chose from in the Multiplayer, Settings menu. (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, & Violet)
Beyond thoes I don't think any other colors (such as balck) can be used as a rail trail. I'm not seeing a variable for it anywhere in the config either. :icon6:

Pure black isn't possible, check out ui_hitscanTint

that's not your rail trail, that's the color it tints your crosshair...i think.

i'd just like to make mine really thin and last the amount of time it takes the rail gun to reload. like i did in q3 =p.

Mine was as thin as I could get it, because I thought it made it look like a laser beam.
