well, I tried to play that demo posted in earlier threads, but I can't get it to work.

here's what I get when I write playNetTimeDemo ggl-timedemo.netdemo in the console:

WARNING: usage: playNetTimeDemo <demo>

I've placed the demo in my id Software\Quake 4\q4base\demos folder, but still I get this message.

Also when I recorded a netdemo on an online server, it is placed in my id Software\Quake 4\dm\demos folder.

I am so confused, did I miss any vital settings here?
Maybe it's because I'm european? :paranoid:

Thanks.

Yea mine did that too. Try putting quotes around the filename.

I think the fact that it has a hyphen in it messes things up without quotes.

like this:

playnettimedemo "ggl-timedemo.netdemo"

Don't put ".netdemo" in there.

you type this exactly:

playnetdemo ggl-timedemo

That's it.

I did, just renamed it to xxx.netdemo, and entered like so:

playnettimedemo "xxx.netdemo"

It worked.
Thanks guys for all the help. ;)

Loaded default settings, reloaded the game, sat it to ultra 1024*768, reloaded again, timedemoed it and got 49.84 first run and 51.19 on second run. :icon26:
Running an a64 3200+, with a gf6800 128Mb and 1Mb ram.

Again, thanks guys.
Now I need sleep, suppose to be up in less than 6 hours :o!
