this makes me wonder what ati is going to release. going for a world record 3dmark05 would require them to beat a 6800ultra sli setup with a single ati card.
i dont think they would try unless they thought there was a chance on succeeding.

Video RAM doesn't mean much as long as the textures fit into it.
Since nobody besides you will have 1 Gig of Video RAM, the textures will not be that big.
Conclusion:
1 Gig of video ram is a waste of money.

They haven't released it yet AFAIK.

True. I think ATI themselves even admitted 512Mb isn't
that useful yet.
