ForM’s Cat

The Confrontation

Last we read dear readers ForM had a bit of luck. He had placed a cage in the overgrown fence line and caught a cat. Not just any cat, but a rival from a time long ago. He had placed his object of happiness in his shed outside. Lets join him now and look into his mind.

Ahh, there he is now………
********

ForM lounged around in the front room the rest of the evening watching television. With evil inward grins, he sipped his beers with casual grace. He was basically in a state of euphoria.

Tomorrow morning his wife was going to go spend the day with her mother. What a great stroke of luck that was. The arrangement was made just that afternoon while he was sweating about how to get some “ALONE” time with his rival from an era gone by. The phone had rung, his wife answered and it was her mother. They chatted for a spell. In the end they was going to hook up and go shopping. Just what all women do when they “Hook” up.

The next morning they had breakfast and she kissed him good by. ForM smiled extra large and begged her to stay home. She smiled evilly at him and wagged her finger at him and left anyway. As the door shut his head turned to look out the back door towards the shed.

He listened as he heard her car start up and pull down the street. He heard her accelerate into the main road and drive away. ForM was now in the clear for at least four hours. His palms began to sweat. He dashed into the bedroom and got dressed in a t-shirt and jeans. After all it was going to be a dirty next couple of hours. He slipped on his sneakers and headed out the back door.

What a beautiful morning it turned out to be. No dew on the grass meant it was going to be a lovely refreshing day with no humidity. That equals to no sweating in any endeavor that was partaken in.

When he got closer to the shed her heard a low meowing. He slid the door open fast in hopes to startle the old tom, but it only looked up at him and sat there with its tail wrapped about his haunches. ForM kicked the cage and it crouched lower to keep its sense of balance. He picked up the cage and headed towards the house.

Such a joyous morning thought ForM. He was so happy he started humming “Hotel California,” one of his favorite songs. As he hummed he started to twirl around. Once to check balance with his package, then two times to see if it would piss the cat off. Still humming he grabbed the handle with both hands and twirled in his back yard like a ballet dancer anchored to a partner. The old tom gave one weak meow but endured.

Then, in an instant, unknown to ForM, the handle began to weaken. The metal wasn’t formed long enough so it gave way and changed his horizontal center as he spun.

In slow motion he saw the cage fling away from the handle. Suddenly thrown out of balance he fell backwards and to the right. As he hit the ground and rolled over he saw the cage hit the ground. The door sprang open upon impact and then rolled two times and stopped.

He watched the old tom leap out and look around. They made eye contact and the tom turned and settled down. It started to rock back and forth on its haunches. ForM’s eyes went wide in the recognition of the movement. ForM laid there in the grass as horror swept over his mind. He knew full well that the rocking motion was a set up for a lunge, a coiling of the back leg muscles that would propell the cat forward in an instant. He had seen it many times.

ForM's body and mind was frozen.

What will happen next?

Will the tom attack as it looks like he might?

Is ForM stuck in a state of fear that will keep him froze and vulnerable?

We shall see, in the next installment of…..

ForM’s Cat

Just wondering?
May be if we ask Raw if he has them saved, on his server or a back up disk?

Thanks my friends.
Was it Raw's forum before or someone else in charge of the old Q3W before it reopened in february 2005?
And were there some of form's cat episodes in the raw forum in the middle, where I join in?
