YAY! CD KEY IN USE!

Please tell me there is a bug that causes this, I just fucking spent 40 bucks on the fucking game and it says my key is in use.
No i'm not asking for another or anything like that, so what, do I have to take it back and get another copy now?
Fuck i'm pissed.

I have tried:
Waiting 10 mins
Deleting q4key file and re-entering it
Doing the above after waiting 10 min

did you buy the game used? or from a good store?

call Actavision and go through the paces of getting a new Cd-key.

Yep, went back and got a new copy, exchanged it, they understood the situation, new key works.

a friend of mine once had that with tribes2. he bought it, installed it and the game said there was already an account made with that cd key
most likely one of the store-teens stole the cdkey after he warezed it.
my friend brought it back and got a refund (after some bitching).. then it turned out my friend left the install cd in his computer so all he returned was the box
