Yeah it's because of the view bobbing. It causes motion sickness and unfortunately there's no way (client side) to turn it off right now.

I would think they would be more used to bobbing. Anyway your only hope right now is to find a server that is setup correctly. The quake3world server was setup with no view bob but then someone said it reverted back to nauciousville. But my server at least is setup correctly. (63.215.74.143) Really the server admins out there are not doing their job imo, most of the servers are just turned on and that is about it. No configuring going on really. Come on admins!

and a nvidia 6800 w/pipes unlocked

and it plays like its on a p3 gf3

Is this really all serverside? I haven't fiddled with these yet, but there are various pitch and bob console commands:

type "pm_" at the console, followed by <TAB>, and use 'PageUp' and 'PageDown' to see the various commands.

i turned all that shit off in cfg

but seeing as some commands don't stick in config

who knows...

Yea, I had to download an X2 driver from AMD for the dual-core because SS2 (and a couple other games) weren't built to handle the speed control or something like that.

It would play fine for a few seconds, then a tiny movement of the mouse would rotate 360 degrees. I've only got to shoot a couple of chickens so far, since I just got patched up last night.

Is it as fun as the first one?

It might be that the server admins are choosing to leave it enabled because they don't mind it or don't see it as a big deal. Turning view bobbing off isn't a "right" way to setup a server, its simply an option which can be set either way.
