I play on some servers form poland and other countries, in all servers i have very high ping 100-300, i see in lagometer very fast change ping from 20-40 to 300 it suck.
i played in singlelight maps 60 fps all time

Ok it can be my connection 512/128 kb/s but in q3 servers i have in poland 20-30 ping and 50-60 in germany or so. So i think its very strange cause if i will have lagg connection i think i will have lags in quake 3 and 4 and other games not only q4. Can u help me and tell me any possible reasons?

And in ASE cant search any server in q4 dont know why...

So you're lagging in all games, NOT just Quake 4?

Either:
1. Your ISP/Connection is poor quality (unlikely)
2. There are several people connected to your internet connection and their surfing causes your lag (Likely, do you have a ROUTER?)
3. Something on your PC is using your internet connection periodically (do you have a VIRUS? Are you using KAZAA?)

Please clarify:
1. Your ping is high in quake 4 ALL THE TIME? or just SOMETIMES?
2. This happens in EVERY GAME? Or JUST Quake 4?

Hmm. lucas, do you have a software firewall running?

Lucas, I'll move this topic into the Tech & Troubleshooting forum for you. You should get the best response there ;)

Are you behind a router? Also, you don't need three firewalls. Pick one and that will be more than sufficient (I'd recommend keeping Kaspersky).

Kill the firewalls
Kill the AV
Try the game..

Oddly, my ISP was the cause of issues similar to this, except i didnt get 300 pings, it was flat 999-9999

Also, are you on a wireless router? Possibly someone jacking net?

I have the exact same problem, it happens to me every 3-4 minuttes...

As far as I can see the only clue is perhaps the kaspersky firewall, because I have that to.. But I also tried to disabled it, but it didn't help me either...

need help :)
