Good read...I still hate excessive camping tho...I'll hunt around for a little bit..if no sign...then I'll sucide just so the game can continue on....match's I won't only because I'll get yelled at for doing so.

I found it pretty funny, since everyday i play....at least one person will spam the word "camper" or "rocketwhore" on the screen. They're the ones that should be reading this. lol

Good article. You can't really do anything about those people.

You just have to laugh as they get killed repeatedly because instead of getting back in the game. They would just keep typing and go on and on and on.

You guys have to admit though that some of the excuses these guys give are really funny.

The best one I have heard was after killing a guy with a great shot he then said " I wasn't even playing. I was alt-tabbed out reading forums "

Probably the funniest thing I have seen was when I was watching my friend play ut2004 and he owned the guy, the guy actually called him a "skill whore" and left the game. lol

yeah street fighter tops everything when it comes to fighting games

Camping is the most overrated thing ever. People complain about it a lot, but I can only see campers being at a disadvantage, especially in 1v1 games. You can camp a single item, but you'll deprive yourself of the rest. You won't maintain map control and your opponent will be able to stock himself full of ammo, health and armor and take you out without breaking a sweat.

Camping is rather annoying in "survival" type of team games like Counter-Strike and Last Man Standing though. When the game just lasts forever because people are constantly hiding it's no good fun when you're eventually fragged. The wait is soooo long then.

Playing against a passive-agressive player can suck ass though. It just sucks getting fragged in such a half-assed way (especially when it's a higher skilled player that doesn't need to play like that). I know and embrace that using your brain is part of the game, but some people just spoil games by never taking the initiative. 'Playing to win' doesn't have to be cheating, but it's possible to take it that far that it's not fun anymore.

It has to do with knowing how to play a map too though. If your opponent knows the map much better than you do, almost every move you'll make will be into an ambush. If i know a map better than my opponent, i like to take more risks to get more spectacular frags.
