Whenever I play Q3, the computer reboots all of a sudden... Does anyone here know why the computer keeps doing this, or how I can make it stop doing that?

Is PunkBuster enabled? If so, what happens if you turn it off?

Is it only when you play Q3? If so, it could be a faulty driver, so update your video and sound drivers. If it randomly reboots in Windows at other times too it could be bad RAM or a bad power supply.

Here's a memory testing app.

It only reboots in Q3, so I guess next thing I'm going to do is update video and sound drivers... Anyone know how to do that? :dork:

Been having the same problem after switching to the 81.85 nvidia drivers. Fixing to roll back to see if it solves it. Only q3 too btw. I can play D3, HL2, Painkiller, FarCry and several others with no problem. Also, does it with PB enabled or disabled.

A driver rollback seems to have fixed mine. I was running 81.85 and rolled back to 78.01.

Could be that your card is dieing, mine started rebooting and showing odd colors before it died. It was the same card you have. But I would try different drivers first before declaring it dead.

Make sure you uninstall the old drivers before installing the newer ones. Go here and select your drivers.
