The mirros don't work for me except the Belgian one (with http:// in front instead of ftp://)

The D3 and Q4 support isn't flawless yet, so v 1.51 is expected quite soon.

What does this program actually do?

I am going to guess, without reading any links, that it minimizes q4 properly... :icon28:

OK,it worked now,but I must opend a folder before it ,is it my problem?!it seems not perfect.and it always appear an errors after game quit or re-enter game.my friends have the same problem,plz fix the bug

Ok, 'works perfectly' wasn't the right choice of words. :icon32: But it works anyway and a next version is on the way.

Just can't believe that this game needs a program to be minimized properly.

... wtf? i hate playing in windowed mode so mimimizers are good.

How did you minimize Q3 then? I wouldn't know how to but luckily i found Q3E Minimizer so i've always been able to quickly minimize Q3, move a map into baseq3 or even google and dl one quickly before a map change on a server. I minimize to answer someone at msn mostly though. Extremely convenient never having to go to windowed mode. :icon14:

I am not saying this program is not good. What I meant was it's just sad that Q3 or Q4 couldn't not have this out of the box

I would love to try this program myself. When is the Q4 version coming?

q3 and up purposely has alt tab disabled in fullscreen mode.

I don't know many games that have handy a minimize function... But v 1.50 does support Q4, that's why i made this thread. The alt+tab problem will probably be solved in v 1.51. Just check out that site for updates (many other interesting things there btw, like a Q3 sound pack for Q4).

all you do is press alt + enter to run q4 in windowed mode, then press console to get back the focus of your mouse in windoze, i actually rather like the minimising capabilites of quake. you can do two things at once. When you're done just make it fullscreen again.

alt-enter takes ages on my machine.

As it does on most people's machines, and with Q3 as well as Q4. Alt+enter is for the noobs.

Quake has no minimizing capabilities. Just full-screen and windowed mode.

Does this version work for you? Seems to me like TiM broke the main functionality by fixing some bugs...

so did he make it so u dont need to do alt-tab with d3/q4 anymore? and whats with that message saying it cant register the hotkeys even when i have nothing else running :S

He supposedly removed the necessity of alt+tab for D3/Q4, but it doesn't minimize Q4 at all here anymore. :icon7: So i'm back to v 1.50.

thats your gfx card fking up. and the fact that your game gamma is r_gamma higher than 1.0.

my gfx card isn't fucked up.

my gamma is higher than normal,but i have a gammafix program, all i do, is click it, and it's fixed.

I've asked TiM (author of Q3E Minimizer) to include a gamma fix feature. Hopefully he will read my comments this time.

It works with Q4 on your system? :icon28: Damn. Ctrl+Z refuses to do anything here in Q4, while it works in Q3.
