Ok, I am trying to test out these beta drivers but they dont recognize or see my card. I just formatted everything and installed windows/gfx card/mobo ect all fresh. I just did the soundcard, the cd says Audigy 2, and it saw the card and installed fine.
Anyone know whats going on?

what the hell is the difference between OEM and a regular card other then the lack of bundled software.??
anyway .. disable onboard sound card if not done so.
google hacked .inf file or drivers as mentioned
if it ain't broke don't fix it?
as a last resort try moving sound card to different PCI slot

Well thats what I was wondering but since the error poped up a few times when I looked for it I figured there may be something to it.
I will check the onboard sound but im pretty sure its off...
EDIT: yeah onboard is off, funny setting in my default config though.
seta s_deviceName "SB Audigy OpenAL [A000]"

- is that default for everyone or is OpenAL installed? The bottom of the q4 screen says my card doesnt support openal...
Meh, what was wrong with q3 sound? Nothing...

You should be able to extract the setup.exe with winrar, and use device manager to point to the extracted folder to install your sound driver manually. That's what I do, so I don't end up with crappy 'extras' they bundle that I don't need.
In the device manager the sound card is usually 'pci multimedia input device' or the like when it has no driver assigned.
