Raven, release a tweaked MP demo. Change things that the community has been complaining about and let us test them for you!

I mean its obvious why you didnt do it now, what with the sound, connection, and fps problems, but someone somewhere underestimated the fanatisism of the quake community. If there had been a test demo you would have had the opportunity to balance the game by people who would and do play these games for hours a day every day of the week, you cant pay for quality control that good.
But you didnt, and thats fine, I think it hurt the player base but whatever. So do it now. Release an MP demo that is tweaked to the tune of what the hardcore players want. Did you see the CPL World Tour finals? The game was Painkiller, a game that didnt get the developer support it needed by all accounts, but a game that was fast and had people who dont even play games take notice. The community is already wondering if Q4 can come close to matching the excitment generated by a game derided by many with a community in the double digits at best. Doesnt that seem a bit wrong to you? Forget that fact that $150,000 went to the first place finisher...
Release a true MP test with tweaks to weapon balance and some map tweaks, hell the community is already showing you the way.
Read esreality, look at Dr4chs map packs, the TMP pack, *cough*downloadcpma*cough*... :icon30:
Then take that and put it into the point release, its not like the weapons are balanced now, so why not just start from scratch...

boy am i glad i didn't spend $50 on this. it runs like total shit on my computer... constantly freezing. crashed twice in 30min.
