Hello everyone, it is me again

I've not noticed this before and I'm pretty sure they've
been added recently. They're right above the
active X parameters.

In internet options/security settings, there's
> .NET Framework reliant components.
> Run components not signed with Authenticode
( set to disable).
> Run components signed with Authenticode
( set to enable).

That's the settings I found. Should I set enable,
prompt or disable to either?
I don't know what net framework/authenticode is.
How would they have suddenly appeared?

i may be wrong but doesn't ATI drivers sometimes require NET Framework to be installed

Yep, the catalyst control center version does indeed require .net framework installed.

Ah, that'll be it then, I recently installed the latest cats with control center.

Yes, it is. I usually recommend using the stock ones without the control centre.

Well excuse me :icon28: but the idea of asking about something you don't have the faintest idea of what it is/does without spending 10 seconds in a search bot to get a general idea is beyond me. It's not uncommon at all in forums that question posers are expected to show at least SOME initiative to inform themselves before they start asking questions. If that's not the case here, then put up a T&T policy sticky.

ATi Tray Tools is a great substitute for the CCC and has more features. Omegadrivers (very recommendable drivers) includes ATT too.[/off-topic]

How about you just respect people who have been posting here a lot longer than you have therefore have built up a healthy persona with other long time posters. If you don't like it I’m sure you can find another good forum to post in here.

Oeloe, I got nothing against you man, it's all cool. I did sort of briefly look it up on google beforehand, but I like posting in T&T ( which isn't THAT often) because questions can often lead to other little tidbits that might not show up on google.
Plus ax and I can insult each other ( in the nicest possible way of course )

if everyone used google i'd be out of a
job here and i'd be back to doing dishes.

it had never bothered me answering a question that google couldn't answer.

i guess all my answers from now on could be > Google but if a question is asked we might as well answer it or point them to a link that helps.

I'm not going to spell out in a policy that we're not here to repeat "search Google" ad infinitum in a tech support forum. Doombrain summed up the situation quite well but we would like to see you stick around and help out, so let's drop it and move on.
