Sometimes Creative's driver support bugs me a bit...

Hi,
First off, making it a requirement to select a problem type is a rather stupid idea, some people may just wish to make a comment for your consideration.
The main point I feel compelled to contact you about concerns the availability of drivers for your various products, most notably the SoundBlaster Live! series. I and many others find it ridiculous that for some cards you only actually provide updates to drivers and not any full driver versions. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET THE DRIVERS YOU SPECIFY SO WE CAN USE YOUR UPDATES? I found that the anwser sometimes appears to be looking on the American version of this site and getting drivers from there, though I'm not even certain of this.
Something else that strikes me as odd is your lack of support for OEM cards supplied to companies like Dell, YOU MADE THE CARDS, YOU SHOULD SUPPORT THEM ON YOUR SITE.
Excuse the capitals but I felt these points needed emphasis, your shoddy support for you SB Live! series just shows absolute contempt for your customers who deserve much much better for their money. Having to visit sites like DriverGuide.com (risking downloading possibly infected, possibly further outdated drivers to the ones supplied on CD) to try and obtain drivers that work fully is unbelievable. I had to do this just to get 4 speaker (not even 5.1 as my card suggests!) support in Half Life 2.
I hope someone can at least provide some justification for your poor support if not provide some BETTER support.
Thank you for your attention.
Had to get it off my chest even if it won't get me anywhere.

Oh yeah, how the fuck can I get hold of the driver version 5.12.01.290 or similar so I can use the update on the Creative webshite?

I had a SB Live! X-Gamer and the funny thing is, my onboard card on my Dell is better.

Creative makes me sad. Its almost impossible to find the drivers for hardware on their site, between the shitty software they bundle, drivers labeled for hardware they're not for, and the tendency for drivers for older (AKA not Audigy 4,000 Ultimate-Extra-Uber XTABCDEF Edition rev.3.4.1.2)

Tried that before with Creative stuff, modems, video cards from back when everybody and their mother's made them, and NIC's, and I'll never use it again unless I'm in some life or death situation; the drivers on that site are so poorly documented and policed (I could post any file up there and be like "Driver for Creative SB! Live) thats its nearly impossible to get the right one, especially when there are ten of them for the same device and OS, some of which may work, or none, and many of which the end result will be a nice ole' format c:

Not just their support is shit. Filing lawsuits on patents they should never have been granted in the first place seems to be their main focus these days. I will never buy a product with their name on it.
