emulators themselves are illegal i believe, however downloading the roms are legal, if you physicaly own a copy of the game.
so posting a link to a rom site here, i dont think would be a problem.
would it?

Its the exact opposite, emulators are legal, the ROMs aren't, even if you own the game.

who the hell would check this site and know someone linked to a rom site, wouldnt it be much easier to find the rom site itself? Also what could they do anyhow this is a forum with free speech.
