He's not your "latenightshow type of host" in that he does not follow your typical Johnny Carson/David Letterman/Jay Leno mold. He hosts a half hour show on a non primary network channel that mainly follows the news, most of which is political in nature. He is critical and does not hold back from ridiculing public figures, which is in contrast to the light beating (if at all) that a regular night show host would give.
Oh, he also covers news that is critical of America from the outside, like the Kyoto Treaty the Iraqi War, which he calls "Mess-of-potamia".

You should, his insights on politics isn't only funny they make a hell of a lot of sense. Seriously the only reason he's probably still allowed to be aired on tv is because he's so funny. You also don't want to be a guest on his show if your stupid because he will insult his guests on his show like he did with Christina Ricci.

You guys are missing the main point though. His show is supposed to be a satire of mainstream news. Everything about it, even its format, is solely for the purpose of mocking mainstream news.
The only reason that isn't evident, is because mainstream news itself has become so ridiculous. You know, to the point where Tucker Carlson actually compares his CNN show to the Daily Show?

It's not another late night type of show. It is the ONLY show to watch for honest political commentary. The bonus is that it's fucking hilarious. :icon19:

The Daily Show owns, but he's not up to Lenny Bruce/Bill Hicks social criticism....yet.
