chat with console down?

I am wondering if their is a cmd that enables the chat option like in Q3, anyone knows if this is posible?

You have to use 'say ...' or something like that.

or just type anything starting without slashes. yay chat window!

*Still hoping for a mod that allows chats in the console and accepts commands with / in front too. :icon32: Can't get used not typing / every time in Q4. :icon29:
