Hello. I was curious if anyone else was having issues while trying to watch demos. I went to the Q4max site and put the two files inside my q4base/q4max folder(070 verion) and i'm still not able to watch demos. I believe I have everything in order, I have the latest version of Q4max(071) and I know how to bring down the console and choose the correct demo i'm trying to watch. The map of the demo i'm about to watch starts to load then it stops and gives me an error.
I'm new to this forum so if someone has allready asked this I appolgize. If anyone has an answer to this or a link to an answer or suggestion i'd appreciate it. Thanks

This is the error:
Failed to spawn entity with classname 'model_player_tactical_transfer' of type 'rvModviewModel'

yeah, sometimes they just dont seem to work.

It could be that the demo is from an earler version of Q4MAX...or maybe not, it seems random to me as to when they do work.

You might try to load Q4MAX first, then try to run the demo, or try renameing the demo, that sometimes works.

hmm absolut, try looking through this thread on the q4max forums for inspiration (you are not the only one to have had problems - and there are some helpful suggestions in the thread)

I had problems with demos, unrelated to q4max as it happens - my solution was to clear my q4base of unneeded pk4's, one or two of my custom maps i had in there seemed to be interfering

I have exactly kind of issues that you have. It doesn´t matter if i chose a Q4max or Battle demo, it return the same answer "Failed to spawn entity with classname 'model_player_tactical_transfer' of type 'rvModviewModel' "

For me it doesn´t matter if I´ll try to start the demos through Seismovision 3.0 or through the console....

...any solutions yet?
