900 + fps .177 pellet break barrel rifle spring shooters in the $200 range.
I've got it narrowed down to 4 possible picks... And of course the one that cought my eye is the most expensive.. :icon7:
Gamo Shadow 1000 - $180
Benjamin Sheridan (Crosman) Legacy 1000 - $184.90
Beeman GS950 - $189.99
RWS 34 Diana - $239.00
Anyone a pellet gun nut that might be able to give me some advice?

Why on earth would you want a pellet rifle? Just get a decent .22, it's most likely cheaper and you can do all the same stuff. Which is to say, shoot tin cans and birds.

I have a Browning .22 Semi-Auto Rifle with a scope we take with us usually when plunking and is the usual squirrel control around here. Only problem with it is that you can't have fun with it in the backyard. :/ Even though I've got plenty of back stop, and in fact no one behind me, asinine neighbors are always calling the police because of the noise. And is indeed illegal to fire a gun inside city limits, so poop on them.
I thought about a suppressed .22 but then that's a hassle in and of itself. Not to mention way more expensive than I'm currently willing shell out just to be able to shoot .22 quietly, and by the time you've slowed down a .22 to *fffiiizzzt* speed it's going pellet gun speed anyway.
I also had the oportunity to shoot a friend's RWS 34 a while back, and it was a load of fun. :icon14: So much power from a quiet little pellet gun.
And I've still got about seven zillion pellets left over from when my pellet pistol died when I was little. :icon32:

a high powered pellet gun is great when youre hunting big game and come across a grouse or partridge.
what kind of power have you seen in pellet pistols in your search? anythjing over 500 fps?

Noting really, Crosman has a pneumatic single shot that they repot around 600, which means it's probably closer to 550.

I guess one could get a 2250 and hack off the stock
it uses thoes little CO2 Cartridges.

I'm shure theres loads out there but I haven't really been looking at pistols in any detail.
!
Although I may start looking into thoes as well. I have missed begin able to go outside and just start shooing at shit all day long for no other reason than because i felt like it.

Nothing but good reviews. on it. :icon28:
And the few that are bad, seem like they're written by idiots, or fanboy's of some other brand.
Also Wally World's got it for like $125.
