Ok, I'm totaly beat now. So I'm gonna be blunt. Read that:
http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki ... -_Advanced

I know there's alot of grammar and shit that needs to be corrected, but I'll do that later if not someone else has, I need to sleep now ;D

That article explains how to do those skies, actually I didn't use Skypaint at first, I used a wireframe model a friend made to me but someone at the D3W told me about this and it's alot easier and faster.

Good night!

Hipshot, how do you remove the black horizon (or just terrain) from your skies?

Make sure the fog is thick enough and blends with the sky in a nice color transition. Remember the half-height, as long as that value is over the horizon as you see it (from the camera) and the fog value is thick enough you won't see the horizon as a sharp border.

don't forget to make the terrain height 0, it saves allot of work

and be sure you select 'Shadows in atmosphere'

Yea, uh... just don't enter any data in the terrain dialogue, that has to do with generation of terrain. You can change sphere size, area size and that.
