Beer or is it?

Tonight I got a hold of a bottle from a brewer.
You might laugh when I say Its from Samual Adams here in the USA, but I aint.
This 750 mill bottle is recorckable and total seduction.
Its costly, and not for the adverage consumer.
If you can get your hands on a bottle and have the extra cash, consume its worthyness.

Sam Adam's is about the only commercial American beer I quite like. :icon14:

Sam Adams Triple Bock is a really good winter beer, it's pretty thick, almost black in color, and has no head. It's 17.5% alcohol too, which is the highest beer I've ever had (had never heard of 35 proof beer). I don't know how much it is in stores, but I'm lucky enough to live across the street from a good bar that serves 300+ beers. It's 8 bucks a beer at a bar.

That last bit wtf?!
25.6% is a shit load of alcohol for a beer, you'd be fucked off of two 750 mls, or roughly four 12 oz bottles (don't know what it's sold in). It's probably illegal in some states because they're worried people would go to bars and drink it like they would other beer without realizing how strong the alcohol content is.
Also, at least in my experiences, if I drink something that's anywhere between 20-30% alcohol, it takes me awhile to feel the alcohol - it has to absorb. I can finish something like that and think I'm fine at first, but all the sudden feel it 20 mins later. Which is dangerous because if you drink in that 20 mins thinking nothing happened, you're completely fucked when it all hits you at once.
Where as anything less than 20% won't get you fucked fast at all, so you can feel your progression every step of the way. And anything 35%+ is pretty easy to gauge how much you need based on past experiences with hard shit.

Worth every penny.
Mind you this sits more in a snifter like a good Cognac. Spipped yes. Bubbles no. It was very warming, very tasty, and extreamly smoothing.
Sometimes in life, you just got to keep it simple.

I just googeled and I see bottles around 200 bucks.
God I love my Liquore Store guy. Lest he has good taste to pick up the rare to hard to find stuff.
