The obvious is right there in front of you. You have a mirrored RAID volume. The computer mirrors each drive, so if one fails the data is still instantly usable from the other volume. If you improperly shut down the computer, some data may have been incorrectly written to one drive. What the system is currently doing is synchronizing the data between the two drives and ensuring the intact data is preserved.

Is there an option on the RAID card to manually resync? If so, boot, enter the RAID setup, and manually initiate the sync (then wait forever while it completes).FragaGeddon wrote:Yeah, but it displays that message everytime I boot up.

No option to sync. I could delete one of the raid drives and then rebuild it though.
But I'm going to be re-installing xp so I'll see what happens then.

Reinstalling XP probably won't resolve this because its at the hardware/RAID level. If your data is backed up, then delete one of the drives and re-add/sync it, as you said.
