if i copy big thing to F: c: dies.
if i copy big thing to C: f: dies.
wtf is going on

One of your drives are bad or you have a bad controller. It could also be a power supply overload.

wierd. it's only one drive, just partitioned into four
and also, this happened on the older athlon 950 i had, same drive

Do you have another HDD that you can transfer to?
even if you pull it out of an old box.. copy it to the other HDD from that one and see if you get the same problem.

i've had a maxtor 40gb drive together with this before, copying stuff to it didn't fuck the faggate drive

try swapping out your IDE ribbon for a last ditch effort.
