Its a nice start but it could use a little work. I really like the masthead and the over-all theme.

I don't think it's ever going to be much more than that, but you never know. All it's really for is to serve as a basic news source about the up coming and past events.

One thing, the "pics from previous lan parties" links open HUGE images.

The menu bar images are cool but the extra spacing for the server is distracting and they look even less like buttons than they already would.
I would recommend making them even. Just rename the server button to 'ranked server'

I've seen that site layout before, it's a template isn't it? It's a nice layout but the quality of the buttons don't match the rest of the site, especially the Times New Roman font.
Choose a different font and a shadow to make it more readable.

I may work on it some more when I get the time.
I do understand what you're saying about the buttons. But I wanted the server button to stand out. That's why I put the other buttons on top, so you'd figure out the server pic was actually a button.
