What's the deal with MSN...

Anyone else getting BS files from your contacts? Shit like "Lopez in Shower" "Me on Vacation" blah blah blah...If so, I haven't found a sure fix for this, the file infects a file in C:/Windows/system32...I forget the actual file name, but has there been an official removal tool for this or what?

Yeah a bunch of my friends have it. The problem is that no one knows what a .pif is so they aren't afraid to open it.

Never got any of those but I did get an error message through e-mail with msnm. Wont bother with that crap anyway

been getting a lot of these as well
it's great sending the message back along with "you've spammed this to me 4 times already -- i think you have a virus"; they freak out and die. or something.

i installed trillian the first time someone tried to worm me. never had any problems again. woohoo
ofcourse, trillian wont help against the general stupidity of the common folk who run pifs and obscure exes
