Delayed movements

Ever since I updated my display driver and DirectX (to 9.0c), I've been having the same problem with all games using the Q3 engine. Namely Q3A and ST Voyager Elite Force. Both games ran fine before I upgraded. I've tried uninstalling both my driver and DX (using DX Eradicator), and installing the versions I had before. It still didn't work. I've also tried updating both games to the latest version. Now, Q3A is fine, but I'm still having trouble with Elite Force. The developers probably overlooked this problem.

Symptoms: The movement is fine when there aren't any bots around. When there are bots, the game still runs smoothly, but my movements are always delayed by 2 or 3 seconds, depending on the number of bots in the room.

Specs: 733 MHz P3, 256 MB RAM, 128 MB Radeon 9200.

You guys should be able to help me on this one even if you haven't played Elite Force before, since both games use the same engine, work the same way, and have the same settings.

Check if vsync is on (although it's unlikely to give a 2-3 second delay to your movements). If you're getting a constant FPS that's the same as your monitor's refresh rate (60/75/85 usually) vsync is on.

If vsync is the same as frame sync, it's always off by default. Turning it on gives me the same problem as well.
