One of the guys in my clan has set up a new Loki's Revenge CTF server for anyone that is interested in playing this mod.

I dont know how long he plans on hosting it, but its up and ready for use.

I have to say I came to the whole grapple thing kind of late, so its pretty new to me, but this mods pretty fun and the Loki maps really give you alot of oppurtunities for some serious speed :icon32:

Anyway I thought I'd post the IP here in hopes the server gets some use outside of me grappling around on my own

I look forward to playing this mod with real people! Its so much fun grappleing around these maps. It really sucks that nobody plays it anymore

I'm normally around on the weekend, but this weekend I will only be around sat evening. If you let me know when your going to have it I'll make sure the server is still up for that time. I'm pretty sure it will be up indefinately, but its not my server so i cant say for sure

PS: lrctf23 - parody, is just to much fun, thats a damn good map

yeah, my clan normally gets together to play CTF around 9 pm EST which is why I wasnt on to play a few games with leanard.

I posted on my clans forum so hopefully some people will sign up. My clan normally an OSP CTF clan so the whole grapple thing is a little different for them so they have been a bit luke warm about trying it out.

I'm hopeing once we get a few games going they will see how fun it is.

Ok I am actually playing now but no one is on. This is by far the best mod for q3 ever released. I seriousley did not expect this. Please, god play with me now let's start a clan.

Well I have to be at work today, but if you want I can hook up with you tonight for a few. I'll be on at 9pm est

I'm working from home wednesday, thursday and sunday so I have greater flexability on those days, hopefully we can interest more players once we start going at it :icon25:

Great; I'd downloaded this mod a while ago but deleted it since there were no servers. Now that there are two, I'll check it out again.

BTW, would you please ask your clan mate to disable PB? I like to use ioQ3 these days for various reasons. It doesn't work with PB, though.

I think you can get really good speed if you do it right

yeah, I've found that if I treat it like a strafe jump I go flying. It sort of like a grapple right / release / jump, grapple left / release / jump with short distances on the grapple seems to be the best way to do it.

I've also found that grappleing off ramps will really send me flying. Fun times :icon25:
