I also purchased HL2 via steam, then there's a bunch of old games that I haven't played in years that I keep in a box somewhere - C&C, Red Alert, Bioforge, HL, Homeworld, Homeworld: Cataclysm, Z, Mechwarrior 2, Diablo 2 and so on (those are just the ones I can remember from the top of my head).

I noticed alot of dvd like cases for some a bit older games, do you live in England or something and is that the kind of boxing used?

heres an old pic (almost 2 years ago). as you can see its quite a lot;

top right shelf is old pc cardboxes, the middle is new dvd cases, the one under that is special editions. the middle left shelf are jewelcases of review-versions (and some psx). its 3 "columns" deep btw

You shouldn't set cds horizontal because over time gravity bends them and they don't work as good, so line them up bookshelf style.
