For fixing the biggest problem with Q4 in this latest patch. Map Redirection and Auto-Download now works!!!!!!!!!

My server has been dead from day one because I can't stand keeping things vanilla. I've always ran custom maps which made things difficult to say the least. Not even 2 minutes after installing the patch and fixing redirection, the server started getting people on it and has been running close to full since!

So thank you id and Raven. Please keep up the good work and ignore the bad press. We're all just anxious for the game to be as good as it can be and this is the first step.

We are mostly. In a way, I am glad that the team isn't too sensitive about stuff like this.

One thing I HAVE noticed about the redirect though. The pk4's HAVE to be lower case for some reason. A few of my paks had upper case letters in them and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the to download until I made them lowercase. Kinda odd I thought. I guess that's something you map makers should be aware of. Might even be worth adding it to the config setup sticky?

Thanks for the auto d/l as it worked great. 30 Seconds to a HL2 map (eeewww) still, nice and much faster than the q3 auto d/l.

:)
