I saw custom ones that I thought were official because they looked so cool, what gives?

I saw one logo, it was really cool. It wasn't 2d but a 3d like drawing with the nail in a center of 2 U's crossing. Take the Quake symbol and clone it without the nail and rotate it 90 degrees and that's what it would be like.

Well, how many nails can they jam through the q?

The logo is okay, but not great. I certainly have seen better logos made by the community, but in the end, who really gives a shit.
