Java programmers out there?

Preferrably experienced knowledgeable programmers. This is no Toxicbug HW question session. Just looking for Java tutorial/intro book suggestions, with something specific in mind. PM me if you're willing to answer 2 or 3 quick questions regarding the aformentioned.
