osp 3x loading screen while connecting to serv.

So I was playing for a while with the speed dlls that came with the icculus builds found @ quakesrc.org. I removed them because of compatibility reasons. But now osp has 3 loading screens before it enters the game, mebbe cuz the 3 vm_ cvars had to be adjusted for the dlls. Well I reset everything back to default, removed q3config.cfg etc. and it still takes 3x screens to load a map. :s

The loading screens are due to a config value somewhere being set to something that the server has disallowed. When you get in-game, it forces the value to change, then a vid_restart/reconnect.
I guess you already knew this but, yeah, I think you're right in that that has to be the issue.
The extra loading screens only happened since removing the DLLs?

Nah it happened with the dlls as well. I'm fairly certain it started happening when I first used them, it was a while ago hmmm. It could be a cvar restriction put fourth by osp yeah, I dunno which one though. vq3 and others let me in fine.

I'm gonna remove my autoexec.cfg and see if it still happens...

Don't forget that OSP will load configs in both \osp\ and \baseq3\ too.

zomg. So it was something in my autoexec.cfg Removing it fixed it.
I guess it wasn't really related to those dlls then. Just dunno what setting I switched back then that makes osp reject it. :s
