Why are they taking so long to release a updated version of their mods with 1.2 since it was a few lines different?

GTR is up to date, I think it's the only one so far. New GTR was released minutes after the patch.

1.2 may only be a few lines different, but 0.74 is more than a few lines different, and we need to make sure everything that was partially complete at the point that id released 1.2 is actually finished off completely.
Having your release schedule dictated by someone elses release schedule isnt good for new functionality in releases.
People making comments on laziness make me think I shouldnt bother staying up till 3am working on it. If you have nothing positive to say, then dont say anything.

He's right you know
Nobody HAS to make mods, and it's not like they're getting paid for their hard work.

Nowadays they're rarely getting thanked let alone paid. Mostly whined at.

Anthony has helped me quite a bit on the Q4Max forums. He's a good guy.
An 073b with JUST the change to get us working on 1.2 would've ruled though.

I think the biggest problem is the paranoia that there will be a 1.2.1 or 1.3 or a retraction of 1.2 within a week or two?
when it means a number of evenings of staying up until 3am cobbling together your mod, you're damned right mods aren't going to be updated immediately...

It's not so much a matter of updating for new PRs I don't think, from what I hear that's not too big a matter, q4max is just putting together an actual major release to go along with it's new version support.

Sure would be nice to see a release of these mods ,new features or not.I am fairly sure nobody is playing baseq4.So now we wait ....again .Maybe I am wrong but I sure do not remember Q3 going through such down periods with everyone on a different PR.Would have been nice if they had gotten the 1.1 PR right the 1st time.

Pending on what your code involves, updating to a new sdk can be a big issue. Not to mention they changed the menus and skins... so more work there as well.
But to boost the mod of this thread, we have just released Weapons of Destruction 2.9 for 1.2 sdk with linux support. We've got a swinging hook and a ton of new stuff...
so if you're tired of waiting and waiting, check our mod out until you're fav is up and running in the new sdk.
